Week 8: Technical: Zoom Burst
By changing the focal length during long exposure you can add movement to your photograph, producing leading lines within your frame.

This wasn’t an easy week, since my camera wouldn’t let me do a zoom burst.
So I did it manual or by hand. That wasn’t easy but these two are the results I like the best.
Above the one I entered for the challenge, but down the one I liked too, so I share it with you on here also.
Which one do you like the most?

WEEK 7 Composition: Fill the Frame
Fill the frame with your subject, no background. You will need to get up close and personal, or use a good zoom lens

I know I know, there is a little bit of black in the background, but cropping more, would have thrown away the effect and I liked this photo the best for this week.

WEEK 5 Wildcard: Photographer’s Choice
Capture an image on your terms; who, what, where, when, why, how … it’s all up to you. Caveat: You must tell us your intent

The night before we had a super blue moon, but when I had time to take a photo of it, it just looked like a normal moon.
So the night after I went out and took more moon photos. This is the one which I like the most.

You can find another one on my instagram page.

WEEK 3 Technical: Full Manual
While the camera often determines shutter speed and aperture for the photographer, it doesn’t know your creative intent. This week, challenge your self to assume creative control over the camera by using full manual mode. Select a subject where varying the aperture and / or shutter speed helps enhance the composition and visual qualities of the image

I was hoping for a different kind of weather, but I had to do it with the weather we had today.
So this is the result.

WEEK 2 Composition: Color Harmony
Get out your color wheel. Do opposites attract? Can there be harmony with opposite colors? Does the Hulk wear purple pants? Mix warm and cool colors

This year I wanted to try to do it as the first year (2016) keep up with the weekly themes and try to find a photo fitting with it during that week. Or maybe in the week before.
So this week I tried to look for color harmony. I found some, but not one which I thought yes that is it!
But I did have a plan B just in case from the beginning and today I made photos of it.

My Loch Ness monster bought years ago at the shore of Loch Ness as a memory of an amazing tour through Scotland.
I tried different things as a background and this is the result.
What do you think of it?

WEEK 20 Technical: Sky Overlay
Sometimes the sky just doesn’t cooperate. This week replace the sky in your image. If you need a sky to use in the replacement

Catching up with the 2017 photochallenge.
I had been thinking of sky replacement and what I wanted to do with it. But today when I walked along the river with the high water and all the reflections I took several photos which I could switch the sky and the water on. I liked this one the best.

WEEK 1 Vision: Look Ahead
New year. New beginnings. New you. Look ahead. Interpret as you wish.

New year.
New beginnings.

Actually I still need to make photos of some of the weeks from the 2017 photochallenge.
So when I read there would be a new one for 2018 I was like, okay, maybe time to stop doing those challenges.
But than I took a look and I liked the ideas for the weeks in this challenge, so here we go again.

A new year, a new photo challenge.
And hopefully making those missing photos of the 2017 challenge some day too.

For week 1 I choose a fireworks photo.
Fireworks are for me the start of a new year. Starting it with friends, with who I spent the evening and the night.
The start of many more great moments together which we share and other great moments I have with other important people in my life.

WEEK 50 Technical: Full Edit
Use the SOOC shot from the beginning of the challenge and re-edit it to it’s full glory. If that shot isn’t available feel free to re-edit any of your past work

I do edit my photos, but I keep it simple.
With this photo I tried different things even black and white, but this version I liked the best.
